How To Reach Vaishno Devi Temple
It is believed Goddess maa Vaishno devi herself calls her devotee on appropriate time .
In case to reach maa vaishno devi you should reach first to katra (a small town 50 km distance to shrine temple ). Katra is well connected to Jammu and Jammu, in turn, is well connected to the rest of the country by Air, Rail, and Road.
The Mata cave is nestled in the mighty Trikuta mountain 61 kilometres north of Jammu at a height of 5,200 feet above the sea level in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, India.
It is belevied that noone can find hard work to see the sight of mata rani . the main famous story about her tells us that goddess vaishno devi helps her devotee and spread his praise all over the world as she did for pandit shridhar .

Nearest airport - Jammu (48 km from Katra)
From delhi it takes 80 miniute to reach .
Daily Flights are available from Delhi, Srinagar, Mumbai and Other Major Towns. These flights (Indian Airlines, Go Air, Indigo, Jet Airways, Spicejet, Kingfisher) connect Chandigarh & Amritsar on some days of the week.
By Railway :
Nearest Railway Station - Jammu
Jammu is directly connected to major cities like Mumbai, Delhi Kolkatta and Chennai.
Through Road :
National Highway No. 1A passes through Jammu towards Srinagar and jammu is well connected to rest of india through this .
When to visit :
The shrine is visited all through the year, but the path is difficult during the winter due to snow fall.
Trekking of 13 kms starts from katra to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine . Those who cannot comfortably walk can hire pony or dandi (Palanquin). Pithus can be hired for carrying children & luggage on shoulders.
