How She looks likes ?
The Goddess Saraswati is depicted as a gorgeous woman dressed in pure white, often seated or standing on a gigantic white lotus, The white color, signifies the purity of true knowledge. Occasionally on her Basant Festival , however, she is also associated with the yellow colour, dedicated to mustard plant. She is usually shown to have four hands , which symbolize the four aspects of human personality in learning: mind, intellect, alertness, and ego. on the other hand, these four arms also represent the four Vedas( the primary sacred books for Hindus).
Vasant Panchami marks the beginning of the spring season. The festival of spring is celebrated with full cheerfulness and joy amongst the Hindu people. In Hindi language, the word basant / vasant means spring and panchami means the fifth day. In short, Basant Panchami is celebrated as the fifth day of Spring Season.
